Hi, I’m Rachael—indie author, editor, teacher, and word nerd.
I wrote my first story when I was 5, on a stack of notecard-sized pieces of paper that my grandma cut up and stapled together because I kept adding pictures to my coloring books. “Just work with blank paper,” she told me. “Tell your own stories.” I’ve been following her advice ever since, telling stories to stuffed animals, to my captive little brother (in the sense that I held him captive, not that he was necessarily always captivated), and now to my children.

But building a writing career as a mom with a full-time job is… well. You know exactly how it is. I have the ideas, I have the passion, I have the drive—what I don’t have is the time. But not writing isn’t an option, so I started finding creative ways to fit writing into the cracks in my day.
If you’re here, it’s because you’re struggling with the same problem, and I’m here to tell you there’s hope. You can fit writing into your life. You can make it through the difficult seasons of parenting, working, and surviving each day to write your book. To finish it. To edit it. To publish it!
You can do it. I’m here to help.
